Position Title: Director Fuel Position Summary The Director Fuel role will lead an analytical and operational team managing the company's fuel supply chain, forecasting, hedging strategies, and fuel-related initiatives. This leader will ensure the reliability and efficiency of fuel operations while driving cost optimization. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker who can also delve into operational details as necessary, fostering a high-performing team of approximately five crewmembers to deliver results. The Director is a key member of the Finance team, reporting directly to senior finance leadership. The role demands a proactive and influential leader capable of driving cross-functional collaboration internally and maintaining strategic partnerships externally. Essential Responsibilities
- Lead, develop, and mentor a team of analytical and operational professionals, fostering engagement, growth, and innovation
- Oversee enterprise-wide fuel purchasing to ensure cost efficiency and supply reliability
- Build and maintain relationships with fuel suppliers and other key stakeholders in the energy sector
- Manage and optimize fuel supply chain operations, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives
- Develop and execute the company's fuel hedging strategies to mitigate financial risks and exposure
- Partner with Accounting and Financial Planning & Analysis teams to ensure accurate fuel-related financial reporting and forecasting
- Ensure compliance with internal and external audit controls as well as authorship and adherence to company policies
- Own and lead company-wide initiatives, working with leaders within flight ops, dispatch, enterprise planning, and sustainability, among others
- Direct high-impact fuel-related projects, including implementing new systems, technologies, or processes to enhance efficiency and performance
- Serve as a trusted advisor to company leadership on matters related to fuel strategies and operational priorities
- Take a significant role in the development of crewmembers to support their engagement, growth, and goal achievement
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a combination of a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of previous relevant work experience
- Seven (7) years of experience in project management, fuel supply chain management, or analytical / related roles
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and other analytical tools
- Exceptional analytical, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication, including experience interacting with executive leadership
- Available for occasional overnight travel (15%)
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test
- Must be legally eligible to work in the country where the position is located
- Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship
Preferred Experience and Qualifications
- Master's degree in a related field
- Previous experience in aviation fuel supply, hedging, or project management
- Familiarity with fuel supply chain systems as well as fueling innovation and technologies
Crewmember Expectations:
- Regular attendance and punctuality
- Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice
- Able to maintain a professional appearance
- When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

- Must fulfill safety accountabilities as prescribed by JetBlue's Safety Management System

- Identify safety and/or security concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue's confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report (SAR))
- Responsible for adhering to all applicable laws, regulations (FAA, OSHA, DOT, etc.) and Company policies, procedures and risk controls
- Uphold JetBlue's safety performance metric goals and understand how they relate to their duties and responsibilities
- The use of ChatGPT or any other automated tool during the interview process will disqualify a candidate from being considered for the position.

Compensation:
- The base pay range for this position is between $160,000.00 and $205,000.00 per year. Base pay is one component of JetBlue's total compensation package, which may also include performance bonuses, restricted stock units, as well as access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, travel on JetBlue, and more
