The Product Owner reports into the Director of Software Engineering and is responsible for all aspects of support for systems, processes and reporting. This includes the strategic configuration, maintenance and optimization of integrated HR systems (including Workday) and processes that support effective data management, reporting and administration.

About You

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, or related field, or equivalent, relevant work experience.
  • Minimum of seven years of related industry experience to include business process expertise in the functional process areas, technology fluency, stakeholder engagement, analytical thinking
  • Experience with HR systems architecture and integrations

What will you be doing in this role?

Strategy & Vision:

  • Serve as the primary owner of specific functional business process and act as they key point of contract for business stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain a clear product vision and roadmap aligned with the organizational strategy, focusing on process optimization, technology enablement, measurable outcomes.
  • Collaborate with enterprise architects, business leaders, and functional stakeholders to understand and translate business goals into system and process strategies.

Requirements Gathering & Prioritization:

  • Act as the voice of the business, gathering and documenting funcational and technical requirements for enhancements, integrations, and new systems within the assigned process area.
  • Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring it reflects current priorities and aligns with strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, engineers, analysts and end users, to refine and prioritize requirements and define sprint-ready user stories with clear acceptance criteria.

Delivery Oversight and Collaboration:

  • Partner with development and operations teams to ensure timely delivery of features, configurations, and solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Work closely with engineering leads, solutions architects, and QA teams to ensure technical feasibility, adherence to standard and quality of delivered solutions.
  • Drive agile ceremonies (eg. Sprint planning, retrospectives, daily standups)

Process and Technology Ownership

  • Build a deep understanding of the end-to-end business processes in the assigned area and serve as the SME for process improvements and technology solutions.
  • Partner with solution architects to ensure alignment between system capabilities and business needs identifying opportunities to modernize and streamline processes.
  • Maintain ownership of relevant systems and platforms ensuring scalability, stability, alignment with enterprise standards as well as future needs.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, fostering strong organizational communication and collaboration.
  • Provide regular updates to business leaders and stakeholders on product performance, roadmap progress, and upcoming changes.
  • Lead business process reviews and workshops.

Governance and Compliance:

  • Ensure adherence to organizational governance frameworks, security standards, regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal audit and compliance teams to align system and process improvements with audit requirements.
  • Maintain documentation and support audit readiness for all system changes and process updates in assigned area.

Vendor and partner Management:

  • Collaborate with third party vendors, system integrators and implementation partners to deliver key initiatives.
  • Work with procurement to manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure successful delivery of services.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, or third-party solutions to address business challenges or opportunities.

Data-Driven Decision Making:

  • Leverage data and analytics to monitor system performance, identify areas for improvement, and measure the impact of delivered solutions.
  • Partner with analytics teams to design and deliver reporting and dashboards tht provide actionable insights for business units.

Hours of Work

  • Core business hours in your time zone with the flexibility to lead a team in India
  • This position is a hybrid role that can be performed 2-3 days week at our offices.
