Description

The TPL Trainer will train employees on all facets of tissue processing to ensure technical proficiency. Ensure all training is documented appropriately. Support the TPL and company through performance of tissue processing.



  1. Train new employees on tissue processing and ancillary tasks.
  2. Assess trained skills and proficiency of new employees.
  3. Perform reassessments for employees.
  4. Review training records to ensure appropriate documentation and that training requirements for employees are met.
  5. Develop and update training materials as tissue processes are introduced or revised.
  6. Dissect, process and document cardiovascular allografts.
  7. Inspect, identify, describe, and document allograft attributes for cardiovascular tissues
  8. Evaluate allografts for acceptance per allograft quality specifications.
  9. Perform any tissue processing activities as needed.
  10. Serve as Team Leader in absence of shift Team Leader.
  11. Produce complete and accurate documentation/labeling for above functions.
  12. Perform all functions within CryoLife SOP compliance.
  13. Complete appropriate training records prior to performing associated functions.
  14. Perform Technical Review of processing records and graft records.
  15. Other responsibilities as assigned.


Qualifications:



  1. One year tissue processing experience.
  2. High School Diploma or equivalent.
  3. Good written and verbal communication skills.
  4. Adept at training others and ensure trainee comprehension.
  5. Demonstrates ability to organize tasks and manage multiple tasks to completion.
  6. Ability to direct technicians and answer processing related questions.
  7. Ability to meet processing requirements for tissue equivalents and quarterly processing yields.
  8. Ability to maintain acceptable dissection and allograft quality feedback rates.
  9. Ability to maintain acceptable technician error rates and acceptable documentation quality rates.
