As a Server at the Chophouse at the Hilton Bloomington, you will tailor the dining experience to each guest providing food and beverage services in a friendly, courteous, timely, and professional manner resulting in a superior level of guest satisfaction.

What will you be doing?

  • Greet guests and explain specials & promotions.
  • Understand menu and wine list including ingredients and preparation of the dishes to the delivery and service expected to accompany the dish.
  • Record and input guest orders into the Point of Sale system.
  • Retrieve, confirm, and deliver orders with condiments; follow liquor regulations.
  • Replenish beverages and ensure overall guest satisfaction.
  • Collect payment, thank guests, and invite them to return.
  • Complete side work and cleaning tasks including restocking and replenishing condiments.
  • Address and resolve guest complaints.

What do you bring to the role?

  • High school degree or equivalent preferred
  • Must have high level knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations, etiquette, appropriate table settings, service ware, and menu items.
  • One year or more of service in a fine dining outlet required.
  • Handle customer complaints with empathy and provide proactive solutions.
  • Proficient in English for guest requests, memos, and reservations.
  • Ability to work POS system and cash handling experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds unassisted on occasion as well as move through crowded rooms to seat guests.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holiday and have reliable transportation to and from work
