Position The Maintenance Technician II performs building maintenance and repair of manufacturing equipment. Repairing and maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment such as pneumatic tools, HVAC equipment, and production machines and equipment. This is a hands-on position that requires technical knowledge and the ability to complete goals in a timely and cost-effective manner. Duties Ensure that all SEKISUI equipment and facilities are 100% compliant to standard safety practices and regulatory organizations (OSHA, ANSI, UL, NFPA), customer processing specs (BAC, RPS) qualification requirements, and aerospace industry accredited organization (Nadcap, ncamp) requirements. Perform preventative maintenance tasks on equipment on a defined schedule and maintain preventative maintenance instructions. Install, relocate, facilitate and startup equipment as required. Have a sense of urgency for repairs affecting production downtime. Qualifications Experience in reading, understanding, and following wiring schematics. Experience with compressed air systems. An understanding of autoclaves, pressure vessels, and gas-fired batch equipment is preferred. Experience reading, understanding, and following wiring schematics. Familiarity with the use and maintenance of standard hand tools and/or pneumatic tools. Experience with basic metal fabrication, cutting, and welding. Working knowledge of dust collection equipment, HVAC, walk-in freezers, and hydraulic systems. Experience troubleshooting PLC controls. Basic computer skills. Ability to climb ladders, operate hand & power tools, drive forklift & scissor lift, utilize fall restraint harness and assemble heavy mechanisms. Physical Demands include standing, sitting, lifting, bending, and climbing throughout shift. Flexibility to alter work schedule including nights, weekends, and on call as needed. Experience 5-7 years of maintenance experience required, ideally in manufacturing. Experience with high voltage electrical systems 480V /240V, AC/DC control systems. Previous electrical and controls diagnostics experience preferred. Education Associates degree through an accredited trade school preferred. High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Certification in at least one directly related trade preferred.
