NetApp is looking for an AI Customer Intelligence Intern to work on a Win/Loss and Stakeholder analysis of AI Opportunities project, working in close alignment with peers in Corporate Marketing, Sales, Alliances, Product Management, and Solution Engineering organizations. You will be part of a fast-moving, highly motivated cross organizational team who tackle challenging and impactful problems. This intern position will require leadership, frequent communication, and interactions with various levels across the entire NetApp organization. We are looking for a driven individual to take on the responsibilities to support the efforts of the Product and Solutions Marketing organization and strategic team goals.

Job Requirements

Win/loss and Stakeholder analysis Project Overview

Win Analysis

  • Identify customers and account teams that are running AI projects with NetApp equipment/services
    • Interview account teams
      • Create a comprehensive identification of key stakeholders in the purchasing process: decision makers / influencer
      • Key solution/strategic elements that contributed to success
      • Content, tools, touch points used in the deal process
      • What could have been improved?
    • Customer interviews if possible
  • Identify customers and account teams that are running AI workloads that could run on NetApp offerings, but customer chose competitor
    • Interview account teams
      • What workloads are being used on competitor offerings
      • Who were the key stakeholders in the decision making process
      • What systems are they currently running AI on
      • What are opportunities to convert, what will it take

Loss Analysis

  • May be more challenging to conduct with sales team - needs to be handled delicately
  • Rapid completion after opportunity close, time is of the essence
  • Direct customer interviews is ideal but may be complex

Synthesis and recommendations

  • Synthesize the trends & key learnings
  • Build recommendations for AI Marketing based on discovery
  • Develop recommendations for additional validation research based on insights from this discovery phase
Education

Must be enrolled in an educational or professional program through summer 2025 or later.

Compensation:
Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package.
