As aShipping and Receiving CoordinatoratLibertyPlastics,youwillsupport successfulshippingand receiving operations by planning shipments based on productavailability and customer requests, tracking orders to ensure timely deliveries, and preparing shipping documents.Thisrole drives value by execution in the areas of safety, technology, process improvement, and freight management.

Thisfull-time position reports to theShipping and ReceivingSupervisorand islocated at ourBaldwyn, MS manufacturing facility.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • In partnership with the shipping and receiving supervisor, develop load plans based on customer needs, freight availability, and trailer utilization for local and out-of-state transportation
  • Review customer release dates and align with the shipping team to coordinate deliveries of finished goods.
  • Load and unload trailers efficiently in support of delivery plan
  • Prepare, review, and retain documentation of shipments, load sheets, bill of lading, and other documents
  • Notify shipping and production teams of any discrepancies of materials versus internal records
  • Coordinate the shipping and delivery of materials through carriers
  • Facilitate both inbound and outbound calls to external customers to schedule delivery appointments
  • Partners with other departments to rescheduled missed appointments
  • Partners with production departments to maintain warehouse inventory
  • Organize and store goods in accordance with safety and operational standards
  • Communicate with the customer service team to identify any priority loads
  • Performs daily, weekly, monthly cycle counts, produces, and provides inventory reports to shipping and receiving leadership team, and participates in physical inventory processes.
  • Ensure that all shipments comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor the condition of goods during transportation and storage and resolve any issues with vendors or carriers.
  • Other duties, as assigned

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution
  • 2+ years of experience in production shipping/receiving as a forklift operator, coordinator, or inventory specialist or comparable
  • Previous experience using Microsoft Office Suite to write business correspondence, create spreadsheets and report with simple formulas
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with vendors, carriers, and internal staff.
  • Willing and able to work other shifts, including weekends and overtime as needed
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Manufacturing industry experience preferred
  • Experience with inventory management and warehouse software is a plus

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

The starting pay range for this position is $22.00per hour. The compensation posted is the anticipated pay for the position at the time of the posting. We may pay above or below posted amount based on several factors, including, but not limited to education and/or certifications, skills, experience, or work location. Some positions may qualify for additional compensation in the form of bonuses.
