Work Hours: 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM

Direct-Hire, Full-Time

OVERVIEW:

An international food manufacturer in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking a Sanitation Lead to support and oversee sanitation activities, ensuring that all facilities, production lines, machinery, and common areas meet strict cleanliness and food safety standards. This role is responsible for coordinating sanitation tasks, monitoring compliance with sanitation procedures, and assisting in training and guiding the sanitation team. The Sanitation Lead will work closely with Quality Control, Maintenance, and Production teams to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Sanitation Execution: Assist in implementing and maintaining sanitation procedures in accordance with company policies and regulatory standards.

Task Coordination: Assign and monitor sanitation tasks to ensure timely and thorough cleaning of all equipment and facility areas.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all team members follow sanitation protocols, GMPs, HACCP, and food safety procedures.

Chemical Handling & Safety: Ensure the proper use, storage, and handling of cleaning chemicals in compliance with safety guidelines.

Quality Control & Testing: Conduct ATP and allergen testing to verify sanitation effectiveness.

Audit Support: Assist in internal and external audits by maintaining proper documentation and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Facility Inspections: Perform routine inspections to identify sanitation issues and work with the team to implement corrective actions.

Training & Team Support: Provide hands-on training and guidance to sanitation team members to improve efficiency and compliance.

Collaboration: Work closely with the Maintenance team to ensure equipment cleanliness and functionality and support QC/QA teams in food safety initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum 3-5 years of sanitation experience in a food manufacturing environment.

Spanish fluency required.

Experience with chemical handling, sanitation testing, SSOP creation and food safety audits.

Knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, LOCKOUT/TAGOUT, and sanitation best practices.

Strong teamwork and communication skills with the ability to guide and support team members effectively.

The base pay range above represents the low and high end of the base compensation range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Actual base compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, actual experience, and job performance.
