This position is responsible for leading planning, forecasting and replenishment of inventory for a group of Multi-Color customers. This role will influence the customer's forecast, plan and execute events, and lead the customer supply relationship. He/she will have overall ownership for:
- Executing best practices to implement and maintain Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) programs
- Leading the collaborative planning, forecasting, and replenishment and/or VMI processes with the customer(s) and ensuring forecast and event requirements are in the MCC Demand Plan
- Coordinating with MCC Supply Planning/Operations to align the release of VMI requirements with plant capabilities
- Managing the planning process at the item level and making tactical decisions to create and move inventory

Responsibilities:
- Leads inventory planning process including:
- Validating customer forecasts against historical usage and the MCC statistical forecast and identify outliers
- Scheduling and conduct regular (weekly or monthly) meetings with the customer to achieve a consensus forecast after resolving outliers
- Aligning with the customer on inventory levels, replenishment quantity/timing and manufacturing of needed inventory
- Driving optimal levels of inventory to support mutual goals of inventory turns and in-stock metrics
- Manages and plans inventory for VMI accounts within the MCC planning system including planning system set-up and maintaining parameters to model demand, supply, inventory, the customer network and transportation
- Owns VMI inventory from planned requirements to customer receipt (delivery or usage for consignment customers)
- Coordinates with MCC Operations to align manufacturing jobs, based customer need date (expedite and de-expedite) and assist in level-loading the plants using VMI requirements and planned requirements
- Completes complex customer-specific reports to meet ongoing needs
- Drives actions to improve key end-to-end planning performance indicators including, but not limited to, forecast accuracy, aged inventory, inventory turns, order fulfillment and customer on-time delivery
- Proactively identifies and challenges activities that will detract from planned objectives
- Runs reports on the customer portals to analyze their inventory, orders, forecast and other data
- Manages product transitions as it relates to managing the final inventory of the old items and help manage forecasts and orders to meet new item launch dates
- Provides data and information to customers and the Company to facilitate good business decisions
- Supports the Sales team to drive sales to meet Company and team goals
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
- Mentor and train team members on systems and processes, as well as, trading partners and groups in other internal business units or departments
- Identify process and system improvement opportunities making profitable customer-focused suggestions
- Participate in operational change management to drive results
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business or related technical field.
- APICS certification preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience which includes:
- Demonstrated comfort dealing with large, demanding customers with complex distribution networks
- Proven ability and willingness to develop relationships with customers and internal functional partners
- Broad and deep experience in all aspects of supply chain planning, management, and operations.
- Strong analytical skills including ability to manage large amounts of data and recommend solutions.
- Ability to:
- Think and act strategically in the business while able to focus on day-to-day operational execution.
- Work effectively in a constantly changing, fast paced team environment
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with internal and external business partners
- Printing industry and/or CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) experience preferred.
- Knowledge of supply chain planning processes and tools (e.g. BlueYonder/JDA, SAP).
- Working knowledge of Demand Planning processes and tools (Logility/Outperform).
- Customer focused with a strong service orientation.
- Excellent organizational and influencing skills and the ability to drive cross-functional alignment.
- Strong communication (written and verbal) skills; comfortable communicating at various organizational levels, and able to back-up thoughts with facts and analysis.
- Proficiency with Excel, Access, other MS Office applications and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).
- Strong results orientation and work ethic, able to work independently.
- Flexibility to support multiple projects with ability to meet all deadlines.
- Work onsite at customer and travel to other customer locations in support of strategic initiatives.
- Occasional travel required to Company plant and customer locations to support customer activity or Company objectives.
