Job Description

Position Overview

Torch Technologies, a leader in aerospace solutions, is seeking a passionate and talented Aerospace Engineer 2025 Summer Intern for our dynamic team. This opportunity is ideal for an engineering student who is enthusiastic about contributing to cutting-edge aerospace projects. The intern will work under the guidance of experienced engineers and will have the chance to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world applications, gaining invaluable hands-on experience in the aerospace industry.

Key Responsibilities

Within your internship, you may...



  • Assist in the design and analysis of aerospace components and systems.
  • Participate in the development and testing of prototypes.
  • Conduct computational simulations and analyze data to evaluate designs.
  • Support the team in researching new aerospace materials and technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve engineering problems.
  • Document and present findings and progress in team meetings.
  • Adhere to industry standards and regulatory requirements in aerospace engineering.

Job Requirements

Qualifications



  • Currently enrolled as a sophomore or junior at Auburn University or the University of Tennessee, Knoxville pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related STEM field.
  • Strong foundation in aerodynamics, thermodynamics, and material science.
  • Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., CAD, MATLAB, ANSYS).
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.


Requirements



  • US Citizen.
  • At least 18 years old.
  • Actively enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student in an accredited educational institution.
  • In good academic standing with a grade point average of 3.0.
  • Commitment to a full-time schedule during the internship period.
