This will be a key hire to drive McKesson finance and portfolio management structure, framework, and process excellence for the overall portfolio for MMS MT. This position will be responsible for driving key processes, deliverables and collaborating cross functionally with the finance and technology teams. Portfolio Process Excellence
- Support portfolio intake process and prioritization meetings with cross functional partners and influence across teams to ensure alignment with the strategy and achieve business goals.
- Lead and facilitate creation of baseline financials for new initiatives in partnership with service managers, ensuring clarity and alignment with key stakeholders.
- Monitor and track portfolio health, navigate highly complex matrix environment, identify impacts and interdependencies with other teams, demonstrate expertise on facilitating initiatives prioritization and protecting value, and recommend sequencing of the work.
- Expert in bringing visibility to capacity constraints across the delivery teams, resolve complexity and facilitate alignment of priorities and trade-offs needed.
- Analyzes data on projects, resources, and workloads and derives actionable insights for the service managers and the senior leadership. Ensure quality and accuracy of portfolio data within the portfolio tool.
- Drive adoption of the portfolio tool with assigned teams, by providing communication and support on processes and expectations.
- Provide aggregate reporting on portfolio health and prepare information for executive presentations in a digestible and crisp format.
- Establish clarity and connect the dots across multiple teams, while employing standard ways of working with other portfolio leads.
- Establish strong working relationships with MMS service leaders and cross-functional leaders to align portfolio and financial planning with business objectives.
Financial & Operational Process Excellence
- Review and interpret portfolio financial data, partner with finance teams to provide accurate timely information to support decision-making through interpretation of financials. Identify financial and operational performance trends and recommend solutions to improve efficiency.
- Monitor and investigate variances vs budgets and forecasts (supported by detailed analysis)
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and implement changes to enhance the efficiency of the organization.
- Support financial month-end close activities.
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy.
- Support stabilization activities, tracking incidents, RCAs and remediation tasks.
- Work on special projects as requested.
Minimum Requirements:
- Degree or equivalent andtypically requires 10+ years ofrelevant experience. Less yearsrequired if has relevant Master'sor Doctorate qualifications
Critical Skills/Experience:
- Experience overseeing large portfolios and driving strategic alignment, prioritization, managing their investments & value realization, preferably within technology space, but general technology experience coupled with business portfolio management is acceptable.
- Ability to intentionally flex between strategy and detail and adapt style to different levels of the organization.
- Experience driving organizational transformation and change management.
- Demonstrated ability to establish collaborative relationships and move with speed while bringing people along.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI or other data visualization tools are highly desired.
- Outstanding communication skills and keen attention to detail, Strong organizational skills with effective task prioritization and Proactive problem solver with a solution-focused mindset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Nice to Have :
- Experience working in large matrixed organizations is highly desirable.
- Experience working with portfolio tools (Planview, etc.) is desirable.
- Experience in a highly regulated industry is desirable.
- Certification(s) in SAFe Agile, Prince2 / APM, PMP and/or Lean Six Sigma desirable.
