Our Charlotte, North Carolina facility is home to the A. O. Smith Water Systems Division, where we engineer andmanufacture expansion tanks for water heating systems along with storage and well water tanks.

Responsibilities

Maintenance role with skilled technician capabilities (robotics, programming, specialist, skilled technician) - safety sensitive

  • Work in a safe and responsible manner using LOTO and making sure those you are working with do the same.
  • Understand and comply with OSHA, Safety and PPE requirements of AO Smith.
  • Troubleshoot and make repairs to equipment in a safe and timely manner.
  • Ensure and make proper adjustments to all relevant equipment but not limited to such as hydraulic presses, DOT testers, welders and gas ovens.
  • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance to ensure machine reliability.
  • Use technical skills including but not limited to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulics and PLC for troubleshooting and repair of production equipment.
  • Communicate clearly with team lead and or production lead on equipment issues during production run.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals, electrical prints, hydraulic prints and pneumatic prints to perform required maintenance repairs and service to equipment.
Qualifications
  • Associate'sdegree in advanced technical training in electrical, mechanical & hydraulics with 2 years of manufacturing experience.
  • High school diploma with 5 years of manufacturing experience working with electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, PLC's in lieu of Associates degree.
  • Must have excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Must be willing to work occasional opposite shift, call in and weekends.
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs on a regular basis.
We Offer

Regularly Scheduled Hours: 2nd Shift; 3:30pm - 12:00am

Pay:$32.20/hr. to start, depending on experience ($32.20/hr. plus a $.75/hr. shift differential)
