JOB SUMMARY
Works within the post-award teams to design, execute and investigate automation of analytical strategies to improve organizational research data and reporting. Uses data analytic skills and query data sources to develop novel methods for automating reports to increase efficiencies of cross-functional team members and ensure accuracy of output. Works under minimal supervision to use data and advanced analytics to provide information for Sponsored Programs Administration executive decision makers in the sponsored program delivery and financing domains.
This position falls under a hybrid, mostly remote work schedule.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
Required
- Education
Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, healthcare statistics or similar field
- Experience
3 years of job-related experience in the Research Administration or Healthcare sector
Preferred
- Experience
Experience preferred with advanced excel tools SQL, SAS, Stata, SPSS, or similar statistical/data management tools.
JOB DUTIES
- Designs, executes and investigates automation of analytical strategies to improve organizational research data and reporting.
- Is an integral member analyzing various reporting requirements to streamline sponsor requirements and set teams up for success with tools and templates which can be utilized across SPA teams.
- Focus on common errors which typically occur within our various reporting mechanisms to build corrections and fixes, preserving data integrity of the various systems relied upon for details.
- Uses data analytic skills and query data sources to develop novel methods for automating reports to increase efficiencies of cross-functional team members and ensure accuracy of output.
- Generates recommendations and presents analytic output to leadership to inform strategic and tactical decision-making which guides process improvement.
- Analyzes drivers of variances in reports to ensure automation accuracy.
- Works as a functional team member in post-award finance
- May work with other leaders across SPA or our front-line customers to review process improvement possibilities and work with IR and EDW for additional reporting tools and templates.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
