The Co-op program at Volkswagen Group of America Chattanooga Operations is intended to provide college / university students and recent graduates the opportunity to use and develop skills they have learned in the classroom by working at our state-of-the-art production facility, and to provide Volkswagen Chattanooga the opportunity to develop talent for potential future entry-level positions. Only Rising Juniors/Seniors or Graduates (within the last 6 months) from UTC/UTK are considered for Co-op opportunity)

Summary

The Co-op will play an operational role, gaining hands-on experience on the shop floor while supporting various logistics activities. This position provides the opportunity to develop a deep understanding of supply chain operations management and contribute to process improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and update AEKO/Model Year/New Project Database
  • Track evaluations and costs related to obsolescence
  • Monitor and support planner task workflows
  • Contribute to documentation for offers of sales
  • Communicate and track changes through metrics
  • Assist in the creation and management of Inbound Logistics SharePoint
  • Consolidate key logistics metrics in a central location for easy access
  • Facilitate communication with the team regarding accomplishments and upcoming events
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve obsolete material issues

Qualifications

  • Degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or Business (pursuing - junior/senior or graduated in the last 6 months)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with SAP or similar systems is a plus

Technical or Technical Data Access

Access to Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and SharePoint, and relevant SAP modules for logistics and data tracking.
