The Co-op program at Volkswagen Group of America Chattanooga Operations is intended to provide college / university students and recent graduates the opportunity to use and develop skills they have learned in the classroom by working at our state-of-the-art production facility, and to provide Volkswagen Chattanooga the opportunity to develop talent for potential future entry-level positions. Only Rising Juniors/Seniors or Graduates (within the last 6 months) from UTC/UTK are considered for Co-op opportunity) Summary The Co-op will play an operational role, gaining hands-on experience on the shop floor while supporting various logistics activities. This position provides the opportunity to develop a deep understanding of supply chain operations management and contribute to process improvements. Responsibilities Manage and update AEKO/Model Year/New Project Database Track evaluations and costs related to obsolescence Monitor and support planner task workflows Contribute to documentation for offers of sales Communicate and track changes through metrics Assist in the creation and management of Inbound Logistics SharePoint Consolidate key logistics metrics in a central location for easy access Facilitate communication with the team regarding accomplishments and upcoming events Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve obsolete material issues Qualifications Degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or Business (pursuing - junior/senior or graduated in the last 6 months) Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Experience with SAP or similar systems is a plus Technical or Technical Data Access Access to Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and SharePoint, and relevant SAP modules for logistics and data tracking.
