This opportunity is in the Business Intelligence & Planning Department:

As a Business Intelligence & Planning Intern, you will support key financial planning and reserving functions within Safety National. You will work closely with team members to assist in financial projections, reserve analyses, budgeting, and data compilation. This is a great opportunity to apply your classroom knowledge in a real-world business setting.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with creating financial plan exhibits and reports.
• Support data compilation and analysis for budget vs. actual results.
• Assist with financial projections and actuarial reserve analyses.
• Prepare summary reports and documentation for leadership review.
• Maintain appropriate documentation within Safety National's document repository system.
• Collaborate with other departments to coordinate plan updates.
• Support additional tasks as assigned by the Planning & Reserving AVP.

Required Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Accounting, Finance, Business, Actuarial Science, or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ability to work with financial data.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with Planful (or similar financial planning tools).
• Basic knowledge of insurance industry concepts.
• Prior internship or work experience in financial analysis, accounting, or budgeting.
