Work Schedule:

This is a full time, 1.0 FTE position. Shifts will be scheduled Monday-Friday. This is a hybrid position. When in the office, you will work at 301 S Westfield Rd. in Madison, WI.

We are seeking a WCHQ Clinical Information Specialist to:



  • Collaborate with health system quality and IT staff to maintain data hygiene, interpret measure specifications, and develop efficient data submission pathways.
  • Support publishing and maintaining healthcare quality measurement standards that align with industry standards.
  • Deliver analyses to support strategic planning and organizational performance.
  • Provide actionable information on performance to participant healthcare systems.
  • Proactively identify and recommend areas for further analysis and improvement.

Education



  • Bachelor's Degree in a field related to health or analytics Required
  • Master's Degree in a field related to health or analytics Preferred


Work Experience



  • 2 years work experience in a related professional capacity Required
  • Basic understanding of various clinical classification systems (ICD-9, ICD-10, RXNORM, CP Coding, etc.) Required
  • Experience with query tools (e.g. SQL, R, Python) Required
  • Experience conducting analysis and data visualization with business intelligence tools like Tableau Required
  • Experience with relational databases Required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Teams Required
  • 3 years work experience in data analytics, healthcare quality, or information technology with demonstrated progression in responsibility Preferred
  • Detailed understanding of various clinical classification systems (ICD-9, ICD-10, RXNORM, CPT Coding, etc) Preferred
  • Familiar with HL7 and FHIR data integrations Preferred


Certifications

Valid Wisconsin Driver's License with the ability to travel to various locations Required
