This defined retirement benefit requires a 12.27% monthly contribution rate and includes a 100% employer match on Day 1 Learn more at Work With Us \| Maricopa County, AZ We Require High school diploma or GED Two years of experience in skilled construction or maintenance Must possess a valid Arizona Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a Tanker Endorsement We Also Value ATTSA Traffic Control certification Experience in guardrail installation and repair Experience using landscaping tools Experience in cattle guard repair Knowledge of road maintenance and repair methods and materials Skilled in establishing effective working relationships with others Skilled in effective communication, both verbal and written Job Contributions Lead work crews performing construction and maintenance activities Prioritize and assign tasks; assure that all safety rules and regulations are observed on the job site Monitor and enforce adherence to division policies, procedures, and standards Supervise the repair of roadway surfaces, culverts, shoulders, and guardrails Supervise traffic control activities as needed; report safety hazards; perform tasks in the interest of public safety and property protection during emergencies Operate a variety of trucks, equipment, and hand tools in accordance with all safety regulations and procedures Complete work orders to meet Division standards; prepare daily activity and material and equipment usage reports. Instruct crew in the proper use and maintenance of equipment Transport work crews to and from work sites Perform a variety of miscellaneous support tasks and other duties as assigned Working Conditions This position requires the employee to be in the office/field or customer-facing for all hours worked Exerting 50 - 100 pounds occasionally, 10 - 25 pounds frequently, or up to 10 - 20 pounds constantly Incumbent may be subjected to extreme temperatures, wetness/humidity, respiratory hazards, and noise and vibration Machines, tools, equipment, software, and hardware Gannon, backhoe, skid steer, road broom, hand tools, chain saw, pole saw, weed trimmer, concrete mixer, mini excavator, and Cartegraph Protective equipment required Hard hat, gloves, safety glasses, safety vest, steel toe boots, and hearing protection CDL Selection Procedure Only the most qualified candidates will be considered Consideration will be extended exclusively to candidates who submit their applications through our online platform Candidates will primarily be contacted via email and their Workday online application profile Successful candidates must undergo a pre-employment background and/or fingerprint investigation, as required by statute or policy.
