Job Objective: Supervise and manage all personnel and processes in and around the warehouse and delivery functions including operational excellence, inventory integrity, equipment management, fuel distribution, fleet integrity and safety per company standards. Supervisory:
- Assign work to branch distribution team (includes management and support personnel including warehouse, delivery, fleet management and fuel distribution)
- Train, measure and evaluate Branch Distribution team
- Ensure associates comply with company uniform and safety policies
- Ensure all customers are served in a courteous and professional manner
- Conduct quarterly (where applicable) and annual performance evaluations
Warehouse Functions and Inventory Integrity:
- Supervise warehouse team
- Establish and manager consistent, successful, best-in-class warehouse processes for receiving, storing, packing, picking, and shipping of all material.
- Assure timely flow of paperwork aligned with above processes to maintain integrity in systems, assure success in operations and build customer loyalty.
- Establish and manage standards in inventory control that includes but not limited to periodic physical counts, the re-packing of bulk products and the loading of bulk on delivery trucks
- Ensure sales associates are alerted of shorted line items in a timely manner
- Ensure material are packed and labeled professionally
Equipment Management and Fleet Inventory:
- Maintenance, safety and daily management of tank farm
- Create and successfully manage standards for delivery scheduling, proper run sequencing, paper flow and measurements of excellence and accuracy
- Responsible for establishing standards for and managing vehicle maintenance and equipment
- Maintain and forward the proper Department of Transportation (DOT) paperwork for drivers, monitor delivery DOT hours of service and assure compliance
- Establish standards for equipment & accessories required for each delivery vehicle and validate daily compliance
- Validate and ensure accurate delivery of ticket and other paperwork to the customer when product is delivered and to warehouse management afterwards
Safety / Housekeeping:
- Designate ownership of safety to specific individual(s) in the branch
- Hold regular and timely safety meetings
- Establish standards for entire branch distribution team and facilities
- Validate performance and compliance to safety standards in a regular, consistent fashion
- Keep all storage and shipping areas as well as equipment and vehicles organized and clean
- Establish guidelines to report and record accidents and moving violations to the manager of Corporate Safety and our insurance carriers per company standards
Other:
- Handle phone and delivery inquiries from customers, branch associates and/or sales associates in a courteous and professional manner
- Communicate customer delivery concerns to the sales department and/or branch management as they occur
- Report all stock shortages or related discrepancies to branch operations in a timely, consistent fashion
- Establish and manage standards to correct any file maintenance issues as they occur
- Represent the company in a professional manner at all times ensuring quality customer service
- Abide by all polices, rules, and regulations of the company including all applicable safety rules, regulations and procedures
- Support corporate programs, goals, and initiatives of the company
- Assist in scheduling and conducting physical inventories
- Work overtime as needed

Requirements:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of warehouse experience
- Minimum of 1 year of experience managing or leading a team
- Forklift experience strongly preferred
- Previous experience using Microsoft Office preferred
