Collibra Subject Matter Expert (SME) - DoD Location: Washington, DC Work Schedule: 2 days on site Clearance: Top Secret Employment Type: Full Time Position Overview: We are seeking a Collibra Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support a Department of Defense (DoD) program by implementing and optimizing data governance solutions within the Collibra platform. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Collibra, data governance frameworks, metadata management, and compliance within federal environments. Key Responsibilities: Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of Collibra Data Governance Center within the DoD ecosystem. Develop data governance strategies, policies, and best practices to enhance data management and security. Integrate Collibra with various enterprise data platforms, including AWS, Azure, Snowflake, Databricks, and on-premises databases. Configure workflows, metadata models, and business glossaries in Collibra to support compliance with DoD, NIST, and FISMA regulations. Provide Collibra training and guidance to data stewards, analysts, and business users. Work closely with data engineers, architects, and security teams to ensure seamless integration and secure data access. Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and recommend enhancements for scalability and efficiency. Required Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in data governance, metadata management, or data management. 3+ years of hands-on experience with Collibra Data Governance Center (DG, DQ, Metadata Management). Strong understanding of DoD data governance policies, RMF, NIST 800-53, and FISMA. Experience integrating Collibra with SQL, APIs, ETL tools, and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP). Proficiency in Collibra APIs, workflow automation, and scripting languages (Python, Java, Groovy). Knowledge of data cataloging, lineage tracking, and access control within federal environments. Active DoD security clearance (or ability to obtain one). Preferred Qualifications: Collibra Certified Ranger or Architect Certification. Familiarity with ServiceNow, Informatica, Talend, or other data management tools. Experience working in DevSecOps environments with CI/CD pipelines. Knowledge of machine learning and AI-driven data governance solutions.
