Apprentice/Intern Mechanical Engineer

We're looking to welcome a CAD Drafter/BIM Design Intern to the team. Responsibilities will include the following:

• Develop drawings, preliminary layouts, sketches or marked-up prints utilizing conventional drafting tools and/or computer assisted design/drafting programs
• Prepare plan and profiles for utilities. Assist in preliminary layout of complex assignments to define appropriate drawings and information
• Perform drafting to accepted company and national standards, e.g., symbols, nomenclatures, engineering terms, etc.
• Prepare design modifications from provided sketches and data when prototypes are not available
• Review and check others' work, as requested Employ optimum use of procedures, standards, and reference information
• Prepare mechanical plans for pump stations and vaults

• Must obtain High school Diploma
• Experience in drafting for mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems a plus
• Excellent communication skills essential for team-based working
• Willingness to learn Revit software Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D software
