Mechanical Calibration Technician

Reporting To:

Supervisor, Receiving Insp/Gage Lab

Work Schedule:

Onsite - Murphy, NC

To be considered for a Calibration Technician role, here's what you'll need to bring with you:

  • High School diploma or GED preferred. Otherwise, demonstrated ability to understand and apply all verbal, written and computer work instructions or training in English, and demonstrated ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

  • At least 3 years of manufacturing experience

  • Ability to stand for 8 hours and to lift up to 30 lbs.

  • Good eyesight

  • Willing to work overtime.

As a Calibration Technician, you will:

  • Responsible for calibration, inspection and repair of mechanical gauging/inspection equipment

  • Maintaining the internal calibration program

  • Updating and processing the instrumentation data base

  • Issuing monthly recall notices to varies departments

  • Work with program engineers/supervision of group leaders in the procurement of mechanical inspection devices

  • Will read and interpret Engineering/Tool design drawings and/or specifications

  • Will be capable of providing mechanical evaluations or analysis as requested

  • Will make complex gauge repairs and research new gauges for inspection/production use

  • Willing to cross train in electrical calibration and assist Electrical Calibration Technicians as needed

  • Willing to attain ICP_A_610 and J_STD Soldering certification if not already certified

Murphy, NC $17.00-$23.00 Hourly

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
