This position will be supervising the Central Service Operations at Hillcrest, East Campus and our La Jolla Campus site. A strong background in Central Service Operations within the UCSD Health System is preferred.

DESCRIPTION

The Storehouse Supervisor is responsible for the hiring, retention and daily scheduling and supervision of the Hillcrest Storehouse replenishment team. They are responsible for ensuring the departments remain in compliance with organizational and departmental policies, procedures and internal controls as related to replenishment, ordering and maintenance of supply areas for the Hillcrest hospital campus. This position is essential in developing and analyzing workflows and resource needs for daily workflow as well as for projects.

Additionally, the Storehouse Supervisor assumes responsibility as on site supervisor for all Supply Chain Operations assigned personnel in the absence of their direct supervisor.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Associate's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.

  • Three (3) or more years of experience managing or leading a workflow in a hospital setting with multiple specialties and functions.

  • Experience and proven success in storeroom and inventory practices and procedures used in the receipt, storage, and distribution of merchandise.

  • Experience with coaching or training staff and peers.

  • Working knowledge of materials management operations. Knowledge of resource management concepts and UC policies related to inventory management, etc.

  • Knowledge of relevant internal policy and external guidelines.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills in mentoring and advising employees. Actively cooperates and supports the work of others.

  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and execute plans to meet deadlines.

  • Organizational skills to coordinate assigned staff schedules and unit operations. Customer service orientation to quickly address questions or issues.

  • Interpersonal skills to effectively motivate others and collaborate with others to achieve common goals.

  • Develops and maintains rapport and professional relationships with assigned staff, peers, multidisciplinary team members, and management.

  • Ability to apply reasoning skills to evaluate issues and identify a resolution. Sound judgment skills to provide guidance within defined standards to determine an appropriate action.

  • Verbal and written communication skills to explain materials management concepts; actively listens and provide advice.

  • Ability to perform commonly applicable functions in word processing and spreadsheet software.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of organization's materials management application programs to teach others.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Knowledge of UCSD systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Related experience in a large healthcare system.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $77,000 - $139,200 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $36.88 - $66.67

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
