Overview of this Position:

The Operations Technology Laboratory Systems Administrator supports all Laboratory Departments in maintaining the smooth operation of all Laboratory applications, systems, services, and related hardware. Performs other related duties as assigned to support a fast-paced pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.

Non-Negotiable Requirements:

  • BS in Life Science or Computer Science, or comparable work experience or certifications.
  • Strong working knowledge of common computer software applications such as Microsoft Office, Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, and Java.

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience with implementation, using, and troubleshooting CDS or LIMS systems referred.
  • Experience with regulatory compliance - Pharma GMP is preferred.
  • Experience with Pharma Computer System Validation is preferred.
  • Experience with Agilent Chemstation/OpenLAB, Chromeleon, or Empower is preferred.

Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

  • Adhere to proper cGMP documentation standards and practices.
  • Create, maintain, and revise all documentation that pertains to specific Laboratory Applications.
  • Collaborate and communicate with vendors and other departments in the research, development, implementation, support, and troubleshooting of new and existing Laboratory applications and systems.
  • Display a proactive methodology regarding prioritizing and multi-tasking daily tasks and long-term projects.
  • Develop a strong professional relationship with vendors, coworkers, and clients.
  • Execute changes to Laboratory systems by following approved Change Control procedures.
  • Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot Laboratory applications and equipment.
  • Participate in appropriate in-service and workshop programs as well as attend any required meetings.
  • Participate in an appropriate After Hours On-Call Rotation.
  • Provide and maintain training and technical documentation for all staff members.
  • Work with end users and clients to resolve technical issues and problems.
