The Department of Neurology at Columbia University Medical Center is seeking applications for a junior-level clinical faculty position at the rank of Instructor in Neurology and Chief Resident. This role provides an exceptional opportunity for candidates to gain leadership experience while contributing to the department's clinical, educational, and academic missions.

Responsibilities:

*Provide high-quality patient care within the Department of Neurology

*Serve as Chief Resident, leading and mentoring neurology residents and medical students

*Design and implement educational programs for trainees, including teaching rounds, didactic sessions, and case conferences

*Actively participate in departmental and institutional activities, including quality improvement initiatives and faculty meetings

*Engage in clinical research or scholarly activities, as appropriate

Minimum Degree Required:



  • MD and/or PhD


Minimum Qualifications:



  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Neurology
  • Active or eligible New York State (NYS) medical license prior to start date
  • DEA license (or eligibility for DEA registration)
  • Ability to meet NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital's Medical Staff Office credentialing requirements before the start date


Candidates should demonstrate strong leadership skills, a commitment to medical education, and excellence in clinical care.
