Position Summary

The Industrial Technology department is looking for a pool of architecture instructors to teach on the Santa Maria campus. May include day, evening or weekend classes.

Essential Functions and Qualifications

Required:

  1. Environmental control systems
  2. California Building Code
  3. SketchUp
  4. Layout
  5. Revit
  6. Building construction materials and methods
  7. Architectural graphics and design

Performance Responsibilities:

  • Provide instruction in accordance with established curriculum and course outlines.
  • Maintain appropriate standards of professional conduct and ethics.
  • Maintain current knowledge in the subject matter areas.
  • Fulfill professional responsibilities of a part-time/temporary faculty member.
  • Teach all scheduled classes.
  • Maintain accurate records.
  • Assignments may include day, evening, weekend, on-line and/or off-campus classes.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: The successful candidate must meet one of the following criteria:

1. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university AND two (2) years of experience

2. Associate's Degree AND six (6) years of industry experience.

3. Possess a combination of education and experience that is at least the equivalent of the above. Candidates making an application based on equivalency must submit an

Additional Information

SALARY:
Lecture Rate: $65.74 to $86.44 per hour depending upon education and experience
Lab Rate: $57.27 to $75.26 per hour depending upon education and experience
Activity Rate: $37.13 to $50.62 per hour depending upon education and experience
