The salary range for this role is:

$83,980.21 - $142,755.34

Responsibilities:

The Manager Shift Operations will guide, direct and oversee all aspects of warehousing operations for the Midwest region, including packaging, shipping, inventory, budgets, WMS, safety, environmental and security using continuous improvement concepts. Ensure compliance with Del Monte Policies and Procedures which include Good Manufacturing Practices, Quality, Food Safety Systems, FSMA, and current issue of the BRC Standards.

  • Builds a stable and positive work environment and workforce
  • Conducts end-to-end operational assessment of current state vs. needs, prioritizes opportunities and ensure adequate plans to achieve targets
  • Implement visual management tools that tracks operations key performance indicators
  • Creates a balanced scorecard of metrics to measure, analyze and monitor performance and establishes appropriate review/response from such measures
  • Partners with supporting leadership team to ensure common purpose and shared accountability in driving continuous improvement across the company

  • Leverage data and maintain systems to collect metrics, and set performance targets
  • Work in conjunction with accounting groups to ensure financial goals are properly established and subsequently maintained.

  • Ensure procedures are followed to maintain accurate finished goods physical inventory.

  • Champion system adherence through proper coaching and hands on training as needed.
  • Oversee safety programs in the warehouse to meet corporate and plant goals.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, federal and corporate food safety regulatory standards.
  • Review and enforce company quality standards provided by facility, regional and corporate quality authorities.

Qualifications:

  • Shift is Monday-Friday 7am-4pm. Coverage for weekends/nights as needed.
  • Bachelor's Degree in business or related field
  • 5-10 years of experience in Warehouse/Logistics Operations
  • Experience in computerized warehouse management and transportation management systems.
  • Understanding of financial/accounting principles and operational budgeting.
  • Proven experience in developing and managing annual operating plans (P&L).
  • Ability to empower the workforce and build strong teams through hiring, developing, evaluating, training, coaching and succession planning.
  • Proven ability to define performance measures directly related to business and hold people accountable for such.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build direct relationships with hourly associates while managing union contracts.
  • Excellent customer service focus and results oriented.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Computer skills, including SAP; proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook.
