Job Summary:
National Pavement Partners is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Inventory/Shop Coordinator to manage inventory levels, order materials, and ensure our shop is stocked with the necessary supplies for our fleet, equipment and jobs. This role is crucial in maintaining efficient operations by supporting the field team with timely procurement and inventory management.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records of tools, equipment, and materials.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Implement inventory tracking systems to ensure efficiency.
- Coordinate with Accounting to identify material and inventory that needs to be job costed.
- Procurement & Order Management:
- Source, order, and receive materials and supplies for vehicles, equipment, and projects.
- Establish relationships with vendors to ensure cost-effective purchasing.
- Track orders and deliveries to ensure timely availability of materials.
- Shop Organization & Maintenance:
- Maintain a clean and organized shop/parts area.
- Ensure tools and equipment are stored properly and in working condition.
- Assist with minor repairs or coordinate maintenance for equipment when needed.
- Ensure all equipment, parts, and inventory are placed with appropriate signage.
- Logistics & Coordination:
- Assist in picking up and delivering materials when required.
- Work closely with field supervisors and mechanics to anticipate material needs.
- Manage disposal of old or unusable materials per company policies.
Qualifications (Experience, Education & Certifications, Key Attributes):

- Previous experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or shop coordination (preferred in construction, paving, or concrete industries).
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to operate forklifts or other warehouse equipment (or willingness to obtain certification).
- Basic knowledge of construction materials and vehicle maintenance supplies.
- Comfortable using inventory/parts management software (Limble), and asset tracking (Samsara) or Excel for tracking purposes.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically active environment.
