ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Represents Western States Equipment's products and services, starting with a comprehensive understanding of Power Systems products followed with client research to identify how our solutions meet their needs.
- Identifies potential prospects by setting appointments and managing sales visits to ensure necessary focus on all Power Systems markets.
- Manages existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule appointments.
- Recommends changes in products, services, and policies by evaluating results and competitive developments.
- Resolves customer complaints by investigating, developing solutions, and providing repair options.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
- Develops and implements territory action plans through comprehensive data analysis and adjusting sales techniques based on interactions as well as field results.
- Effectively coordinates sales efforts with team members and other departments.
- Supplies Power Systems management with field reports that identifies client needs, potential issues, interests, competitive activities, and potential revenue for new products and services.
- Negotiates contracts and signs agreements to maximize established gross profit goals.
- Successfully completes webinar and instructor lead sales trainings to build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships.
- Assists sales team with up-selling new units as well as rental products.
- Utilizes CAT Inspect and additional software products to ensure all client product information is accurately managed.
- Works closely with other department's employees to ensure a seamless transaction start to finish.
- Promotes and manages marketing campaigns designed to drive business into assigned areas.
- Accurately conveys client expectations to Service personnel for execution.
- Meets or exceeds annual revenue growth of 10% by identifying or developing new clients.
- Adheres to all customer care standards.
- Actively advocates safety at Western States and adheres to all applicable safety policies, procedures and standards.
- Works within to promote corporate vision, mission and values of the organization.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Proven skills in written and verbal communications, planning, organizing, negotiation, listening, leadership and interpersonal relationship building.
- Self motivated with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude under adverse conditions.
- Must be a self starter and ability to work without direct supervision.
- Knowledge and use of Microsoft computer products, customer management tools, computerized sales planning tools and/or other comparable systems required.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with others.
- Ability to travel overnight.
- Consistent attendance.
- This individual must work well with others, build effective relationships, actively listen to clients' concerns, and have the ability to comprehend and convey Power Systems products/services.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Proof of high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
- 2 years previous sales experience and/or proven customer service experience preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of the use and operation of Power Systems preferred.
- Proof of driver's license and acceptable driving record required.
- Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write in English). Preference given for Spanish speaking.
PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS:
- Must be able to sit for long periods of time along with walking, standing, climbing stairs, reaching, pushing, pulling, leaning and
