We have an exciting opportunity for a Systems Engineer - Space Mission Systems supporting one of our premier programs in the business unit, where your knowledge with regards to clarification of requirements, system engineering analyses, algorithm development, requirements definition and derivation, interface definition, and requirement validation and verification will be put to good use. This work will be on-site in either our Aurora, CO or Richardson, TX campuses. What You Will Do * Provide technical analyses and define how the system works creating use cases * Decompose requirements, define system interfaces and help determine how requirements will be validated and verified by the test team * Provide engineering support and technical direction for the execution of a portion of the programs test program including test processes and baseline definition, test architecture design, verification, and validation * Support regression testing across deliverable releases to the program baseline. * Support and attend technical reviews and technical interchanges in support of the program *Skills* Systems engineering, requirements management, CONOPS, agile, devsecops, python, DOORS *Top Skills Details* Systems engineering,requirements management,CONOPS *Additional Skills & Qualifications* Qualifications You Must Have * Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum 2+ years of prior relevant experience * Active and transferable Top Secret / SCI Security Clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance * Systems Engineering lifecycle experience with roles and functions, along with specific experience in one or more of the following areas: operations concept development, requirements management, functional analysis/synthesis, interface definition and control, and/or verification and validation * Development experience on a government contract * Experience with Agile and DevSecOps development methods * Experience with the Microsoft Office suite of tools (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) Qualifications We Prefer * Good oral and written communication skills as well as good collaboration skills and the ability to work in a team environment * Experience in Satellite Command/Control, Mission Management or Planning * Experience with Agile tool sets (JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket, etc.) * Experience working with requirements in DOORS or other requirements databases * Experience working in DevOps and/or DevSecOps in an Agile development environment * Scripting knowledge (eg: Python) *Experience Level* Intermediate Level *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
