Behavioral Hospital of Bellaire is a freestanding, 122 bed facility specializing in general adult psych, adolescents, geriatric, and women's services. The hospital is located in southwest Houston serving the Houston and surrounding communities. Behavioral Hospital of Bellaire is conveniently located between the Galleria and Meyer land shopping districts, and is only minutes away from the Houston Medical Center, Downtown, and Midtown. Our continuum of care includes inpatient and outpatient psychiatric services to stabilize symptoms of depression, anxiety, and other behavioral health disorders.

Behavioral Hospital of Bellaire is seeking an Assistant Director of Clinical Services to assist the Chief Clinical Officer (CCO) in the provision of leadership and strategic planning for newly integrated Clinical Services and Outpatient departments. Responsibilities include directing, monitoring, and evaluating the quality and appropriateness of social services furnished provide oversight and direction for patient admission, assessment, and referral activities. Reporting to the CEO, this position interfaces closely with the medical staff, fellow department heads, and administration. As a clinician, this position provides direction to a staff of Admission RNs Clinicians, and Intake Representatives in the provision of psychiatric assessment services; including clinical evaluations, crisis intervention, and referrals.

Qualifications

Education: Master's Degree in Social Work

Experience: Minimum of three (3) years' experience in psychiatric/mental health field, with a minimum of three (3) years' experience in advanced clinical/management practice. Three (3) years management or supervisory experience preferred.

License: LCSW or LMSW license to practice in the State of Texas.

Additional Requirements: A strong knowledge of JCAHO, HCFA, OSHA regulations, and patient rights standards and all other applicable federal and state laws and regulations governing mental health care facilities.
