Role: Senior Mainframe Engineer

Experience: 7-12 years of experience is mandatorily required

Location: We are ideally looking for candidates willing to work in a hybrid model from the client location in NJ or NY. Remote work is not an option.

Hybrid Model - Day 1 Onsite

Hybrid Model - 3 days at Client's Office & 2 days Remote, each week

Required Qualifications:

We are seeking a highly skilled Service Manager with 7 to 11 years of experience in IBM Mainframe Utilities Control-M Scheduler CICS VSAM JCL DB2 and COBOL. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Asset and Wealth Management. This hybrid role requires a dedicated professional to oversee and manage our services effectively ensuring seamless operations and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations and maintenance of IBM Mainframe Utilities to ensure optimal performance.
  • Manage and schedule tasks using Control-M Scheduler to maintain workflow efficiency.
  • Provide support and troubleshooting for CICS applications to ensure uninterrupted service.
  • Utilize VSAM for data storage and retrieval ensuring data integrity and availability.
  • Develop and maintain JCL scripts to automate batch processing tasks.
  • Administer and optimize DB2 databases to support business applications.
  • Write and maintain COBOL programs to meet business requirements.
  • Collaborate with Asset and Wealth Management teams to align IT services with business goals.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in all IT operations.
  • Lead incident management and problem resolution efforts to minimize downtime.
  • Implement best practices for service management to enhance service delivery.
  • Monitor system performance and implement improvements to enhance efficiency.
  • Provide regular reports on service performance and improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Possess extensive experience in IBM Mainframe Utilities Control-M Scheduler CICS VSAM JCL DB2 and COBOL.
  • Demonstrate strong domain knowledge in Asset and Wealth Management.
  • Exhibit excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Show proficiency in managing hybrid work models.
  • Have a proven track record of ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Display strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Maintain a customer-focused approach to service management.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $110,000/year - $135,000/year depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
