Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Lead with 11+ years of experience in Python PySpark and Palantir. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in driving technical excellence and innovation within our team. This hybrid role offers the flexibility of working both remotely and on-site with no travel required.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of complex data solutions using Python PySpark and Palantir.
  • Oversee the design and architecture of scalable data pipelines and workflows.
  • Offer technical guidance and mentorship to team members to ensure standard methodologies are followed.
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Ensure the quality and performance of data solutions through rigorous testing and validation.
  • Drive continuous improvement in data engineering processes and methodologies.
  • Monitor and optimize the performance of data systems to ensure high availability and reliability.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for data solutions and processes.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to drive innovation.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration within the team and with stakeholders.
  • Solve and resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner.
  • Support the planning and implementation of data initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies.
Qualifications
  • Must have strong expertise in Python PySpark and Palantir.
  • Should have experience in designing and implementing scalable data solutions.
  • Must possess excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Should have a proven track record of leading technical projects and teams.
  • Must have strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Should be familiar with data governance and security best practices.
  • Nice to have experience with cloud platforms and big data technologies.
  • Should be proactive in staying updated with the latest industry trends.
  • Must have a strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Should be able to work effectively in a hybrid work model.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Should have a passion for driving technical excellence and innovation.
  • Must be able to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Certifications Required

Certified Data Engineer Certified Python Developer

Salary and Other Compensation:

Application will be accepted until 3/28/2025.

The annual salary for this position is between $101,000 - $130,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and is subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
