Human Resources Generalist

What is the role about?
This role oversees the daily operations of the Human Resources (HR) department, encompassing a wide range of responsibilities such as staffing, onboarding, benefits and leave administration, employee relations support, performance and talent management, training and development, occupational health and safety, policy enforcement, and fostering a positive workplace culture.

Which tasks will you perform?
You will:

  • Serve as the frontline resource for responding to and resolving employee concerns, while providing regular coaching.
  • Oversee all aspects of employee leave programs, including FMLA, PFML, ADA, short-term disability, and other company-specific leave policies.
  • Maintain HR records by updating new hires, transfers, terminations, and changes in job classifications in ADP and SuccessFactors.
  • Manage the company's bi-weekly payroll processing and act as the primary contact for payroll-related questions.
  • Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team, temporary agencies, and Hiring Managers to fill open positions with qualified candidates.
  • Lead and manage training and development programs, ensuring all employees acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles and contribute to the company's success.
  • Oversee and ensure the success of new hire orientation and onboarding programs.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; review policies and practices to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Stay informed about trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Actively work on improvement projects to support business functions.
  • Organize and manage company events and the engagement committee.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

What do we expect from you?
You:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years of related HR experience.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS applications.
  • Proven ability to build trust and credibility with employees and leaders at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to effectively respond to sensitive inquiries or complaints, handle sensitive information, and maintain absolute confidentiality.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Must be a self-driven problem solver capable of addressing HR challenges.

The listed range for this position is $70,000-$90,000 a year but the actual package offered may vary depending on different factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation for this position would include other elements which include an annual nondiscretionary bonus.
