Stellar Solutions is searching for a Sr. Systems Engineer to serve as a Program Chief Engineer. As a top tier engineering team member in our 30+ year focused space engineering company you advance space system solutions, build customer facing relationships and are key in helping the Commercial Sector leadership solve the customer's critical needs with commercial solutions.



Role/Responsibilities/Qualifications

In this role you will apply your experience in systems engineering, systems integration, program integration and mission delivery. Having a problem-solving mindset is key to working with notional concepts and being a part of architecting solutions that integrate commercial products into the defense industrial base. You will develop through collaboration systems engineering processes, mission concepts and plans, derive requirements and produce supporting products across programs.

This role is 100% on-site (Irving, CA) with less than 10% travel. This role is supported by an auxiliary Stellar Solutions team. All work at this time is UNCLASSIFIED. Required Skills

    Minimum ten (10) years of Space industry experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced,multi-disciplinary, collaborative team environment balancing often widely different project tasks and types
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Government contract deliverable experience
  • Experience emphasis in RF payloads or IR payloads

Desired Skills:

  • Excellent technical and process writing skills
  • Systems engineering and architecture skills
  • Customer centric relationship builder
  • Program Management Professional (PMP) certification

Required Education:

  • Aerospace Engineering or related field graduate level study


Security Clearance & Other Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizenship and security clearance eligibility is required
  • Role is 100% onsite at customer location in Irving, CA. Travel <10%

The typical salary range for this position is USD $135,000 - $165,000 per year plus additional total package components. Individual pay is determined by many factors including work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual performance bonus, and a full benefits package including a significant profit-sharing retirement savings plan.
