Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled DevSecOps Engineer to support our Salesforce projects within a federal government environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in DevSecOps practices, working with Scrum teams, product owners, release management, security officers, and stakeholders. Experience with obtaining and maintaining Authority to Operate (ATO) is essential.

Responsibilities



  • DevSecOps Practices: Implement and manage DevSecOps practices to ensure secure and efficient software development and deployment.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Scrum teams, product owners, release management, security officers, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes.
  • Security Integration: Integrate security practices into the CI/CD pipeline, ensuring that security is a core component of the development process.
  • Authority to Operate (ATO): Support the process of obtaining and maintaining federal ATO for Salesforce applications, ensuring compliance with federal regulations.
  • Monitoring and Maintenance: Monitor and maintain the security and performance of Salesforce environments, identifying and addressing potential vulnerabilities.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of security practices, processes, and system configurations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance DevSecOps practices.


Required Skills and Experience



  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in DevSecOps, with specific experience in Salesforce projects and federal government environments, and specific experience in supporting federal cybersecurity work.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified DevSecOps Professional, or equivalent.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Salesforce, CI/CD tools and security automation.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Security Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance.
  • Ability to work effectively remotely in cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and produce quality work.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite software including Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.


Preferred Skills and Experience



  • Advanced Certifications: Additional Salesforce certifications such as Salesforce Certified Administrator or Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder.
  • Government Experience: Proven experience in managing security and compliance within a federal government environment. Successful experience with obtaining Navy ATO is desirable.
  • Project Management: Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools.


Clearance Requirements

U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.

Work Location: Charlotte, NC - Remote

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $132,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
