Overview

FTI is hiring a DevSecOps Engineer to support United States Space Force (USSF) by developing software in support of Space Systems Command (SSC) Defensive Cyber Operations rapid agile development of defensive cyber solutions to protect, defend,

and respond to both ground and space based cyber adversarial threats. A successful candidate should be a leader and problem solver with a proven ability to deliver superior results as part of a high performing team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    Hands on experience in building tools to reduce occurrences of errors and improve pipeline experience.
  • Develop software to integrate with internal back-end systems.
  • Perform root cause analysis for development environment errors.
  • Investigate and resolve technical CI/CD issues.
  • Develop scripts to automate visualization.
  • Identifying technical problems and developing software updates and fixes.
  • Building and implementing new development tools and infrastructure.


Education/Qualifications

Required:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen and possess an active DoD Secret Clearance. A Top Secret (TS) security clearance (with SCI and SAP eligibility) is HIGHLY desired.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, software engineering, data science, software development or STEM related specialty.
  • Minimum of 3 years related professional experience.
  • Must possess (or be able to obtain within 6 months of hire) - SAFe for Teams certification & AWS Dev Ops Engineer certification.
  • Relevant experience performing engineering activities in the Government (military and/or civil servant), federally funded research and development center, or profit or non-profit Government support, or development contractor arena.
  • Experience in programming languages (at least 2): React, Angular, Python, JavaScript, CSS, & HTML, Databases, SQL, Gitlab, & Artifactory.
  • Familiarity & knowledge:
    • Apache Spark, Kubernetes, Kafka, SIMP Project, Ansible, Docker, GIT, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Suricata, Zeek, Kibana, Logstash, Elastic Search, Neo4J, PostgreSQL, AWS Cloud & Nifi
  • Experience or Knowledge in the following Areas:
    • Agile software development, agile methodologies, agile project management, software project management, defensive cyber military operations, software development life cycle management, program/project management, systems engineering, strategic planning, cross-functional team
  • You may be required to travel periodically, less than 10%.

Desired:

  • Relevant DoD and/or Industry work experience in Space Systems Command.
  • Experience with Defensive Cyber Operations (SSC/SZWO) program office.

For this role, the annual compensation range for candidates in Colorado is ($110,000.00 - $155,909.00). Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience. FTI has a location-based compensation structure; there may be a different range for candidates in other locations.
