Supply Chain Inventory Specialist

Summary:
The Supply Chain Inventory Specialist is responsible for inventory management, stocking, and the delivery of requisitioned supplies throughout the hospital. This role plays a critical part in supporting clinical professionals by ensuring essential supplies are readily available while maintaining financial accountability for hospital expenses.

Essential Functions:
Restock par locations with ordered products on the same day.
Conduct daily par location scans and transmit orders by 11:00 a.m. each day.
Process and charge out any items taken directly from the Stat Room to the requesting department.
Fulfill all phone requests within 45 minutes, unless otherwise noted, and provide follow-up communication for exceptions.
Deliver supplies to assigned floors in a timely and efficient manner.
Assist in restocking Stat Room supplies upon receipt.
Notify the Supervisor of stock shortages and any notable changes in supply usage.
Support the Receiving Clerk(s) during peak hours, staff vacations, and time off.
Participate in annual inventory counts as well as periodic random cycle counts.
Rotate stock and check for expiration dates to ensure proper inventory management.
Maintain a clean and organized Stat Room, sweeping the floor daily and disposing of cardboard boxes.
Report any safety concerns or unknown individuals in the area to the Supervisor or Security Department.
Secure the overhead receiving door at the end of the evening shift by turning off the power and locking it. Additionally, ensure the back corridor door is locked.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor and/or Manager.

High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred

- Basic computer skills are helpful.
