We Require

  • Three years of analyzing data, conducting research, or equivalent human resources analytical experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Public Administration, or a related field

  • An equivalent combination of post-secondary education and/orjob-related experience may substitute for theminimum qualifications on a year-for-year basis

We Also Value

  • Experience applying or developing compensation principles and practices

  • Experience in a public sector human resources environment

  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or equivalent

  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel, specifically the use of formulas and other reporting/charting functionality

Job Contributions

  • Provide compensation expertise and counsel to departmental HR Business Partners with respect to all compensation matters, including salary management, recruitment and retention needs, and policy and procedures

  • Perform research and analysis to determine competitive market ranges and provide recommendations

  • Develop employment offers ensuring internal equity and market alignment

  • Review job descriptions to determine the appropriate salary range for existing and proposed positions

  • Ensure all positions are classified appropriately according to Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA)

  • Contribute to the design and communication of compensation programs

  • Prepare and deliver presentations to management on compensation-related matters

  • Develop and modify classification descriptions as needed

  • Assist with the administration of the Pay for Performance program

  • Participate in salary surveys and provide requested data

Working Conditions

  • Indoor office environment

  • Tasks require manual dexterity of hands and body to operate office equipment

  • May require travel to and from job-related locations during a scheduled workday
