2nd Shift: General Assembly (Hydraulic & Aerospace Filtration Div. Triad Dr)

JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Independent set up and operation of various manufacturing equipment such as hot plates, laser marker, glue dispensers, etc. The position also includes duties in packaging of parts for customer shipments.

• Maintain a safe workplace for self and fellow team members via compliance of safety policies and procedures.
• Produce product in timely manner while following all Quality system requirements
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read blue prints and follow engineering instructions.
• Proficient in all types of equipment used in work area within 90 days of hire.
• Computer skills: Ability to use labor clock within 10 days of hire.
• Proficient in all aspects of inspection gages for the area after training period ends.
• Proficient in all aspects of paperwork for the area within 30 days of hire.
• Utilize Lean tools and be active participant in Lean events and High Performance Teams.
• Participate in 5S activities per Manager request.
• Troubleshoot problems as they arise; Strong problem solving skills.
• Must be able to work and thrive in Team environment.
• Must be able to work overtime when required including weekends.
• Other assignments as assigned by Leadership.

MINIMUM REQUIRMENTS:

• Citizenship: US Citizen or Permanent Resident Alien
• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Vision: 20/25 vision corrected or uncorrected
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience in manufacturing environment
• Communication: For safety and quality, must be able to read, write & understand English
• Mechanical Aptitude: Intermediate
• Math skills - Basic skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, converting decimals to fractions
• Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
