Secret POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):
Material / Inventory Control Management is a critical function within supply chain operations, ensuring the efficient planning and execution of supply chains to meet the material requirements outlined in this Performance Work Statement (PWS). This role involves regulating and optimizing the flow of materials while continuously evaluating key factors such as demand, cost, availability, quality, and delivery schedules. Material / Inventory Control Management encompasses the acquisition, storage, handling, and utilization of materials to minimize waste and losses, maximize cost efficiency, and establish clear operational accountability. This is achieved through rigorous physical checks, record-keeping, accounting, and control measures. A key focus of Material Management is sustaining inventory levels throughout the entire lifecycle of the Maritime Patrol Aircraft (MPA). By leveraging Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Ownership Costs (RAM-C) metrics, sustainment organizations can conduct comprehensive material analyses to identify and mitigate readiness challenges that directly impact mission capability. Material / Inventory Control Management focuses on the capacity to sustain material inventory for the entire life cycle of the Maritime Patrol Aircraft (MPA). The following measurements: Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and ownership costs (otherwise known as RAM-C metrics) enable sustainment organizations to conduct material analysis to identify and mitigate readiness degraders, which directly impact Mission Capability. This opportunity is for a POTENTIAL CONTRACT award and is contingent upon the contract being awarded. Consideration for a potential contract may require a signed letter of intent.
