Responsible for providing essential support to the nursing staff and delivering direct patient care to patients in a hospital setting. Essential Functions
-Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
-Provide basic care and comfort, including feeding and repositioning patients.
-Help with patient intake and discharge procedures, including preparing rooms and providing comfort measures.
-Collect and document patient information, including intake and output, and assist with specimen collection as needed.
-Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members regarding patient needs and care plans.
-Document patient care activities, observations, and changes accurately and timely in the electronic health record (EHR) or paper charts.

Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent required

Licenses and Credentials
Nursing Assistant [Certified Patient Care Technician] - National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) required

Experience
Experience as a CNA in a healthcare setting 0-1 year preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Basic understanding of patient care techniques and medical terminology.
- Proficient interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, such as lifting and moving patients.
- Compassionate and patient-focused approach to care.
