Purpose of Job This position works collaboratively on multi-disciplinary work groups and projects related to supply chain improvement and standardization across the Independent Delivery Network (IDN). Responsible for the review of supply chain contracts to validate standardization and cost saving opportunities. Partners with departments to review and prioritize standardization and supply cost reduction opportunities. Conducts research, analysis, benchmarking and audits to ensure contract optimization is achieved. Job Functions
- Coordinates and prepares financial data for new product review committees across the IDN (agendas, financial impact analysis, contract compliance review and revenue opportunity identification) to facilitate new product requests and new contract opportunities.
- Establishes and delivers financial savings targets specific to supply chain for service lines across the IDN.
- Collaborates with the charge master team to identify and optimize revenue opportunities and review reimbursement of new items.
- Utilizes internal and external data to identify savings opportunities, including our Group Purchasing Organization's (GPO's) tools.
- Ensures high standards in data accuracy that impact the day-to-day transactions and decisions made throughout the supply chain
- Collaborates with Supply Chain Implementation Analyst to review products, technologies, services, and workflow changes that have been approved through the value analysis process to determine if the expected outcomes were obtained.
- All other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education/Work Experience
- 5-7 years of experience in healthcare supply chain
- Advanced level of expertise with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Materials Resource Professional certification (CMRP)
- Bachelor's Degree
- Previous purchasing experience in a healthcare setting
- Previous experience with a computerized purchasing system
