Our team in Space and Defense is looking for a Master Planner to join them. You will report to the Supply Chain Product Line Lead and have the option for a hybrid work schedule in Niagara Falls, New York. You will manage the development of the master schedule that achieves both customer satisfaction use of company resources in direct support of company customer delivery and financial goals. You will monitor status against the master schedule and taking action to protect both the internal build plan and the customer shipment plan. You will work with all levels of management. You will take the lead to involve the team members to resolve material and capacity issues and bring awareness to problems likely to affect the internal build plan or shipment plan. Occasional travel to suppliers and customers may be required. Training new employees may be required. Additionally, you may work with customers from time to time. To be considered for a Master Planner, here's what you'll need to bring with you:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Engineering
  • 3 years of experience in Master Scheduling, Program Scheduling, Project Controls, or similar
  • Experience with MS Project, RapidResponse, or similar tools
  • Experience implementing/maintaining schedules on multiple programs
  • Ability to interpret program requirements via multiple sources (RFP, SOW, WBS)
  • Ability to facilitate group decision-making and conflict resolution
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written for constant and consistent interaction with all departments and employee levels including customers
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook)
As a Master Planner you will be responsible for:
  • Planning: Product Line Level, Risk analysis and Mitigation Plans
  • Buying: Make / buy / where decisions to accomplish the Product Line strategy
  • Leadership: Multi-tiered, cross-functional
  • Problem Solving: Preventative and systemic corrective action
  • Continuous Improvement: idea generation and implementation (not Subject Matter Expert)
  • Develop and maintain the integrated master schedule (IMS) using MS Project or RapidResponse
  • Develop, maintain, and status project/program integrated master schedules
  • Provide critical path analysis and create "what if" scenarios; provide recommendations to leadership and project owners to achieve scheduling targets
  • Participate on project teams as the scheduling subject matter expert
  • Facilitate scheduling discussions to create project schedules and determine relationships with other projects
  • Help technical experts establish milestones and provide support to monitor adherence to the master schedule by identifying programmatic problems and providing recommended solutions
  • Recommend and lead scheduling best practices and process improvements
  • Review and implement scheduling documentation, processes, and work instructions
  • Serve as a spokesperson on scheduling performance to the baseline and schedule maturity for responsible projects

Salary Range Transparency:

Niagara Falls, NY $80,000.00-$100,000.00 Annually

Salary Range Disclaimer

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
