JOB DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (Note: The job functions relate to the job, not the individual)
* Inspect products and equipment for conformity to sanitation laws and standards. * Confer with management and production personnel on sanitation problems, and recommends changes in equipment, plant layout, lighting, ventilation, or work practices to improve sanitation standards and purity of product. * Compile required reports regarding regular inspections, sanitation violations, and steps taken to resolve deficiencies. * Develop housekeeping standards and monitor cleaning practices. * Monitor conduction of sanitation equipment and report any deterioration conductions or mechanical concerns. * Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on machines as needed. * Assist in cleaning of non-production areas in facility. * Recycle materials and sort waste. * Interpret sanitation schedule and plan time to accommodate requirements, setting priorities. * Perform assignments according to schedule, but also be able to think through and make correct decisions if a change is required. * Work safely, follow safety requirements, and wear PPE where required. * Safe/skilled usage of a forklift if necessary. * Understand computer keyboard usage, commands, and basic troubleshooting. * Understand sanitation theory and methodology. * Keep detailed and accurate records.
