Description

Job Summary:

This is a full-time, 40-hour per week, hourly position. It is 100% in-office employment at the Walsworth - Eau Claire printing facility.

The Walsworth-Eau Claire Production Data Analyst is responsible to form a deep understanding of company processes, systems/tools and strategic direction to enable the generation of production metrics and production schedules, while providing insight and analysis on trends with cross-functional team members to drive more informed business decisions. This position requires strong technical and analytical skills to carry out day-to-day tasks related to data collection, job costing, inventory and quality control functions. Primary responsibilities include analyzing and auditing data, utilizing Microsoft Excel to achieve reporting goals, and incorporating sound judgement and critical thinking to focus on driving quality and cost driven improvements.

Essential Functions:



  • Ability to analyze data and reach own conclusions
  • Present reports of various metrics on daily, weekly and monthly variances to executive team and other project team members
  • Provide reliable solutions to a variety of problems using sound problem-solving techniques
  • Develop and maintain automated production scheduling tools for entire plant.
  • Audits personnel data collection entries, identifies, and resolves discrepancies and problems
  • Communicates with production personnel as needed regarding data collection errors and changes
  • Manages and maintains inventory system
  • Conducts periodic physical inventory audits
  • Executes inventory analysis, identifies, and resolves discrepancies and problems
  • Communicates with purchasing personnel as needed regarding new items, changes of location, counts, etc.
  • Assist in identifying and documenting root causes of issues and developing long-term solutions to common and recurring problems
  • Communicates with production and customer service personnel as needed regarding corrective action plans associated with root cause analysis events
  • Work under limited supervision of senior management
  • Performs other related duties as assigned


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:



  • Intermediate level Microsoft Office Suite skills (2+ years experience) and aptitude to learn advanced Excel functionality
  • Demonstrates the self-confidence and maturity to make decisions and solve problems with minimal direction
  • Ability to present information clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing
  • Exhibit a high level of organizational skills and sense of personal accountability


  • Ability to organize, analyze, interpret and evaluate problems and provide solutions with the right sense of urgency
  • Ability to use data and/or insights to perform root cause analysis to help guide decision making
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work independently or with a group to identify and recommend resolution to issues


Minimum Requirements:



  • Bachelor or associate degree in Business, or technical field; or three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
