For a full list of our comprehensive benefits, see our website: https://www.sarepta.com/join-us The Importance of the Role The Director, RNAi Global Medical Affairs Lead (GMAL) builds alignment on key initiatives including optimal approach to data generation, communication and support of Sarepta's RNAi pipeline therapies. The RNAi GMAL represents Medical Affairs on key cross functional teams and interfaces with internal and external stakeholders to enhance the scientific and clinical understanding of RNA interference therapies. This role is accountable for Global Medical Affairs strategic and tactical planning and serves as a key driver towards execution of these plans.
The Opportunity to Make a Difference
- Lead the development and hold accountability for the execution of relevant RNAi therapies GMA strategy in line with overall Corporate and Medical priorities
- Represent GMA on key committees & governance teams to provide medical and scientific advice on Sarepta product development strategies and bring output and insight back to GMA.
- SME on RNAi therapies, proactively ensuring external stakeholder's needs are incorporated appropriately in plans.
- Build strong relationships that foster working effectively and in close collaboration with cross-functional partners to plan and execute tactics. Provide functional guidance, expertise and analysis to programs and cross-functional initiatives
- Connect insights, data, and technology to enable best decisions for GMA and Program Teams; orchestrate action for GMA on insights and fold into organizational priorities.
- Collaborate with GMA evidence generation team members to identify data gaps and drive prioritized data generation initiatives
- Identify Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), plan and execute KOL advisory boards and expert committees; Obtain input early and often on critical questions to inform GMA activities
- Actively support the Organization to disseminate the scientific and medical impact of our products with key stakeholders (physicians, patients, payers and regulators). Identify need for and develop APEX messages that align the organization on key, scientifically supported messages. Ensure broad adoption as appropriate.
- Co-develop and review abstracts and manuscripts, as appropriate.
- Provide medical support and input on labeling and regulatory interactions in preparation of development, life-cycle management, and launch of medicine(s)
- Build RNAi competency and profile within Sarepta
- Routinely share new knowledge and competitive learnings, communicating impact to Sarepta's programs
- Input into budget for GMA RNAi program
- Acts as role model of integrity and compliance
- Perform other related duties as needed
More about You
- PhD and/or MD degree required with a focus on neurology and/or RNAi technology
- 10+ years of relevant experience in RNA interference therapeutics, neurodegenerative disorders or related field
- Analytical and mostly self-directed, with a track record of delivering against goals while working in high performing diverse teams
- Demonstrated success in operating effectively in highly matrixed organizations where influencing skills are critical to day-to-day success
- Experience in building strong and effective relationships with thought leaders, healthcare professionals, including laboratory professionals
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, deal effectively with deadlines, and is comfortable with decision-making
- Customer-oriented approach and ability to work in cross-functional team
- Proven strategic thinking skills and ability to interpret and implement strategic directions
- Articulate with excellent communication and influencing skills

- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed

This position is remote. However, you will be expected to work on site at one of Sarepta's facilities in the United States and/or attend Company-sponsored in-person events from time to time.
