The Content Program Manager will drive multiple programs within the Content organization, ensuring they align with business goals. They will focus on coordinating a unified strategy across the department. Responsibilities include monitoring resource utilization, ensuring projects are developed to scope, removing impediments to drive programs forward and executing on content development roadmaps.

The person selected has a well-rounded understanding of content production including learning experience design, project management, content production, and associated metrics and best practices. Ideally, candidates will work a hybrid schedule in Tampa, Cincinnati or New York. Remote candidates will be considered.

This role manages and executes much of course production planning, course reviews, content releases, product integrations, custom projects, strategic initiatives, bug resolutions and internal customer service, and frequently works alongside Software Development, Product Management, Client Success and Marketing.

What You'll Do:

  • Influences and develops guidelines, standards and best practices for the project management team
  • Execute on roadmap based on company strategy and yearly plan of intent
  • Creates and maintains ASANA Templates and Portfolios for assigned projects/sectors
  • Interfaces with Sector Management on prioritization and well as when and how course will be produced, ensuring stakeholder agreement/sign-off on delivery
  • Coordinates Product Marketing requests with Content Team
  • Uses JIRA to evaluate, triage and execute bug tickets relating to content projects.
  • Syncs assigned courses across project management tools including Roadmap, MOCHA, Asana, and Jira
  • Assigns delivery dates for assigned courses in production and ensures they are delivered on time, on budget, accredited (if needed), and on quality and communicate to stakeholders
  • Scopes, quotes, and manages custom projects for customers and internal strategic initiatives outside of roadmap development
  • Procures subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop and validate content for courses through networking, developing and fostering relationships
  • Ensures timely, accurate cross-team communication between all content teams and other departments
  • Coordinates Content Team responsibilities for sunsetting courses
  • Monitors the flow and quality of work, specifically at handoffs between roles and departments
  • Identifies and explores new ways of organizing and executing course production, whether at granular or ecosystem levels.
  • Manages close-out and retrospectives for all assigned projects/courses
  • Encourages cross-team communication with all stakeholders
  • Collaborates with internal Sector, Accreditations, Learning Experience (LX), Creative Media and Delivery teams, as well external clients, to ensure final course meets outlined scope and expectations
  • Works to establish project schedules and capacity in collaboration with functional leaders, communicating progress with team members through course launch and suggesting necessary improvements
  • Monitors industry trends impacting course development to identify opportunities to successfully innovate and differentiate Vector Solutions from its competitors. Continually generates new ideas, techniques and approaches to improve project management based on best practices, user feedback and industry research.

Requirements
  • 5+ years program and management experience
  • Degree in project management, instructional design, educational technology/media, training and development or related field.
  • Outcome orientated with a proven track record of inspiring and motivating colleagues to achieve superior results
  • Experience in program management of eLearning initiatives; working collaboratively with internal and external team members, stakeholders and partners
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products e.g., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint or equivalents such as G-suite
  • Experience with Project Management software such as Asana and Jira
  • Content development experience in a rapid development environment
  • Must be comfortable contacting people directly to source SMEs. This includes developing creative methods for sourcing through online resources, universities, networking, etc.
  • Effective communication style at all levels in the organization, with strong oral and written skills.
  • Fun, entrepreneurial spirit with the motivation to be agile and adapt to changes in the department as the company grows and evolves
  • Previous experience working with Industrial, Architecture, Engineering and/or Construction markets is preferred
