Your Opportunity for Impact as Manager, Insights

In the Insights Manager (individual contributor) role, your primary responsibilities are to lead development and execution of learning plans to inform strategic innovation and marketing initiatives. You will work with a team of human-centric professionals to provide holistic perspective on the brands in your area of responsibility. You will uncover deep insights about consumer behavior and generate grounded and inspiring strategic recommendations to the business. As a forward-thinker, the Manager, Insights will have strong partnerships with Brand Marketing & Innovation, Consumer Engagement, Design, and R&D, as well as cross-functionally within the greater Insights team (Managers of other categories/brands, Market & Enterprise Intelligence).

Location: Working Remote USA (travel ~1x per quarter) or Orrville, OH (hybrid work arrangement ~30% in office expectation)

In this role you will:

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to champion the consumer from the fuzzy front end of innovation through marketing communication and everywhere in between, leveraging full research ecosystem (big data, social, survey, qualitative, syndicated).

  • Design and manage qualitative and quantitative consumer research projects for brands and categories; connect the dots to generate holistic and actionable insights that are grounded in consumer knowledge and guided by a broader understanding of business context.

  • Keep the voice of the consumer and shopper at the center of marketing, innovation, design, consumer engagement, development, portfolio, and category and provide valuable perspective.

  • Be an expert on the knowledge estate/past research and business strategy, in order to craft integrated learning journeys that will address critical business needs.

  • Bring together actionable insights and data to tell holistic stories that ensures impact with critical partners to inform key cross-functional communication and decisions.

  • Understand and seek out a range of methods and approaches to stay on the forefront of insights

  • Share across Insights to shift mindsets from facts and findings to insights and evidence that inform strategy and drive sound business decisions.

What we are looking for:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS)

  • 6+ years insights (including marketing, innovation, agency, supplier) experience

  • Strong partner and supplier management skills

  • Ability to craft a clear story - present and communicate effectively

  • Experience developing learning plans and budget allocation

  • Experience synthesizing data across multiple sources

  • Experience creating foundational consumer insights and translating to brand, innovation, category/customer, and communication strategy

  • Experience with a range of research methodologies, inclusive of agile / DIY tools

  • Highly organized and can work in a fast-paced environment

Additional skills and experience that we think would make someone successful in this role:

  • Experience with Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) company, agency, or supplier

  • Excellent strategic and analytical mindset to help the company take insights-inspired business action

  • Highly collaborative team player with the ability to draw on strengths and drive swiftly towards answers
