Compensation:

We offer our employees a competitive compensation and benefits package that reflects our organizational culture, mission, and core values. The hourly range for this position is $25.89 to $27.38 and is commensurate with experience.

So Others Might Eat (SOME) is currently seeking a full-time Data Entry & Gift Processing Coordinator to assist with donation processing and data entry processes within out donor database.

Position Overview: The Data Entry & Gifts Processing Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the Donor Database and Contributions Manager, ensuring the efficient processing of gifts, pledges, and related transactions. This position is responsible for key administrative tasks, including researching gift information, accurately entering donations, and verifying batch records to maintain data integrity and efficiency.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM; (40 hours/week)

Required: Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent additional professional experience); 1-3 years experience working with a donor database or other CRM system in a nonprofit environment, including experience with data analytic tools and queries;

Preferred: Prior experience with EveryAction database software

Expected Contributions:



  • Ensure the accurate and timely entry (within 24 hours) of all gift information, from checks, cash, credit cards, wire transfers, EFT, and stock donations into the fundraising database
  • Facilitate company matching gifts, and the processing of data from other workplace giving programs
  • Update additional information in Everyaction (merging donor accounts, updating contact information, uploading relevant backup), flag donor mailing preferences, and clean existing records, as required
  • Configure external data from various sources (DMP, third-party giving portals, TeamRaisier) for entry into the donor database
  • Correspond with donors as needed, including sending failed transaction letters or emails and assisting with technical issues
  • Act as a resource to Development Department staff on issues related to gifts, receipts, and backup correspondence
  • Research gift information, as well as biographical records for donors and corporations/organizations
  • Participate in efforts to maintain data integrity within the constituent database. Proactively identify areas of data clean-up, develop a plan to address clean-up efforts, and ensure efficient and timely implementation
  • Communicate with the Development Department about their events and campaigns to correctly process gifts
  • Research gift information, as well as biographical records for donors and corporations/organizations
  • Act as a resource to Development Department staff on issues related to gifts, receipts, and backup correspondence
  • Execute important initiatives to streamline, automate, and maintain any routine procedures associated with gift entry
  • Assist in the development of written policies and procedures for database utilization and revenue allocation
  • Identify and recommend technology and system improvements that would reduce costs and/or increase efficiency
  • Perform weekly data audits to reasonably assure accuracy
  • Support Donor Database & Contributions Manager in working with external vendors to ensure the accuracy of donation information and smooth running of processes
  • Work on special projects as requested

Reports to: Donor Database & Contributions Manager

Closing Date: Open Until Filled

Physical Demands: Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds. May be required to sit or stand for long periods. Must be able to move around all levels/floors of the building.
