Job Details

The Finance Business Services Lead is responsible for providing financial expertise and operational input on all the commercial related activity for Cencora Business Services (CBS). In this role, you will work closely with the VP of Finance to drive the strategic direction and development of all aspects of CBS budgeting, financial planning, operational planning, and workforce planning. You will be responsible for monitoring the business case intake process and collaborating with key stakeholders such as business leaders, Global Operations Lead, HR, IT, and other departments.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • The Finance Business Services Lead is responsible for providing financial expertise and operational input on all the commercial related activity for CBS

  • This role manages the, cost savings forecasting, tracking of actual sales and works with business leaders to develop account strategies, implement profitability improvements as well as the development of new business models.

  • Drives consistency in data collection and distribution.

  • Monitor investment requests across the program and investment request methodology including one-time transition support needs.

  • Partners with business leaders to provide financial leadership in support of the business case intake cycle process through analytics; actively participates in business case development.

  • Works with financial and operational leadership across Cencora Business Services to drive margin.

  • Supports CBS investment presentations with financial analysis and deal modeling.

  • Drives best practices and standard assumptions.

  • Performs post-deal audits and reports on profitability of signed deals; provides recommendations for profit improvement and enhancement.

  • Supports sales vice presidents by performing profitability analysis relative to contract, customer and product profitability.

  • Generates ad hoc analysis reports as needed.

  • Must be willing to travel up to 20% of the time.

  • Performs related duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Requires BA/BS in accounting, finance, or other business-related field; normally requires a minimum of seven (7) plus years financial experience.

  • Strong understanding of financial processes and systems; outstanding knowledge of data analysis, data mining tools including data warehouse applications, MS Access, MS Excel, and other query and reporting tools

  • Strong management / execution skills; proven track record of delivering quality results

  • Ability to establish good relationships; drives long lasting change across functional boundaries; ability to work with all levels within the organization

  • Strong business acumen; understands operational impacts on financial processes

  • Fundamental knowledge of productivity and profitability analysis

  • Understanding of Cencora policies, philosophy, goals and objectives in order to affect financial oversight in protecting the company's assets.

  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing

  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills

  • Strong organizational skills; attention to detail
